I met Dan and Bianca while photographing Justin and Alexa’s wedding in Yosemite. Much to my surprise, they were secretly spying on me to see if I was the right photographer for them! I’m so happy that they found in me what they were looking for because I have had such a blast working with them and we aren’t even at wedding day yet! I already feel like I know so much more about Dan and Bianca after their 3 part engagement session…in which you’re only going to see part 1 and 2 here. Look out for a future blog on their Oceano Dunes Engagement session! I love couples who find joy in the process and Dan and Bianca certainly do!
D + B are from the Bay area and it was a no brainer that I’d photograph most of their collection in SF. We started downtown which was perfect because I wanted to get the very casual cool aspect of who they were as a couple-and they simply nailed it-of course, because it’s easy to nail something that feels like part of who you are. It was so much fun walking around the city…capturing some cool perspectives. I thrive on the hustle and bustle of the city life and I love to capture architecture so all of this part of the session was just so great!
Next we went to Sutro Baths, a personal favorite of mine. I’ve photographed another couple there before and I’ve known for a very long time that I’d be back soon enough! I can’t tell you how much my soul came alive during this moment. Everything came together…the clashing of the waves…the wind that so blissfully caught Bianca’s hair….the way the sun set on their passionate love-everything came alive in just that moment-the sea, the earth, my couple, and my soul.
I hope you enjoy this part of this beautiful San Francisco engagement session with Bianca and Dan.
Dan and Bianca…to say I’m anticipating your wedding day is a true understatement! Thank you for being as excited to have me photograph your wedding as I am to be a part of all your special occasions together! It’s going to be AMAZING! xoxoxo Rubi Z
